If there’s one thing to be said about the Internet, it’s that it’s a place to find out what you want to know about products and businesses. Few people anymore make a major buying decision without surfing the net and many find products online they’d never be so lucky to find in a mall. With all that awesome power, however, soon came responsibility. And people started responding to their ability to report good and bad behavior on behalf of the businesses they patronized.
These sites have been criticized for leaving negative (and unsolicited) reviews of businesses or service unchecked, but they’re worth a closer look if only because people are using them to find and choose your business or particular products.
Yelp calls itself a fun and easy way to find and review what’s great about your city or town. The reviews of Wyoming businesses are overwhelmingly positive, by the way, just as they are for Colorado businesses. To write reviews, users sign up to create an account and then provide some narrative of their experience. Anyone can read the basic information about a business and all of the reviews by clicking on the business name.
